The Brave Frog a Motivational Story
I heard a story from a motivational speaker in Lucknow. An
inspiring leadership consultant who
teaches people, how to be a leader in life? It is amazing for me to attend his
session because it not only gives me the motivation I required but also few
stories to write on my blog. Motivation is need of human just as food as it
gives the energy to fight the negativity around us. We are born in an
environment where the negativity comes naturally and for positivity, we have to
work hard a bit more. The motivational pills are required to beat the
negativity.
One such pill, I am going to put in
front of you. It is about the group of frogs travelling through the forest.
These frogs have not known each other but they are just friends to travel to
the families living on the corner side of the forest. They are happy hopping
around here and there to make their way to home. A frog that is not so careful
falls into the deep pit of the forest. He shouts for the help but its voice is
not heard by his fellow frogmen. He is now alone in the pit and no one is there
to help. One of his friends realised that he has not seen that frog for a long.
The friend talks to the leader about this matter. The leader says to march back
and finds the missing frog – the travelling companion. They march back and
start to hunt in every tree to see the sign of the missing frog. After spending
an hour in the hunt they finally reached the destination where the poor frog
has fallen and pleaded for help.
The leader asks his friend, “Is he
your friend?”The friend replies. “Yes, he is”. The pit too deep to pull the
poor frog out; they discuss the matter among selves to make him jump and pop it
out of the pit. They show the moves of jumping and encouraged to make it out.
Seeing the enthusiasm outside the pit, the poor fellow starts to jump in
different moves he has got. It is like the test of all the things and art of
jumping he has learnt at the young age. The group standing out of the pit knows
it impossible for the poor frog to make it out. They start talking to leave him
behind and move on to the way to home. But the poor frog has different
intentions. He jumps and jumps until he finally makes to the ground. The frog
says thanks to the leader and move on. The group of frogs are shocked to see
such miracle. The leader of the group of frog asked the poor frog about how he
manages to continue the spirit of going. He says nothing, his friend then
replies that he is deaf from the time he born. The leader taps on the head of
the poor frog and moves on.
Moral of the story:
Sometimes word makes a huge difference in the
performance. The poor frog did see them encouraging but he did not listen to
what they say (because he was hearing-impaired).
