Here, I am bringing you a
motivational story that can create a long-lasting impact on the readers. The
Story highlights the importance of right thing at right use.
Once, there were a Camel and its
baby, sitting under the tree and relaxing. The baby camel was curious in
nature. Like most of the kids, he used to ask questions a lot. The baby had a
habit of asking the question until satisfaction. Following its habit, the baby
camel asked, “Why we camels have humps on our backs?” The mother camel replied
with a smile, “We live in Deserts my dear, we need to store water to survive
long in hot weather condition. That is why we have humps so that we can store
water; just think like the pond inside your body.” Mom knew it was just the
beginning of long list of questions. She was waiting patiently to answer them
one by one in the best way she could. The baby camel thought for a moment and
asked, “Why our feet are thick and round?” “Nice question my boy, you are
thinking well”, mom replied.
“It is because we have to walk on
the desert. They help us to stand straight and walk smoothly over the desert.”
The baby camel took the pause and asked again, “What about our eyelashes? They
are also thick & long and we don’t walk with our eyelashes, aren’t we?”
Mother camel laughed and said, “It is to protect our eyes from the dusty wind
that blows in the deserts.” The baby camel snoops his mom very carefully but he
didn’t look satisfied with the expressions.
He stretched his leg and tried to lift himself up to move ahead. The mom was
worried and thought his son was not satisfied with the answers presented by
her. “Are you all right? My dear”, mom asked. “Is there anything you want to
ask?” she added. The baby camel replied, “If we have lumps to store water for a
hot climate if we have long and broad feet to walk on the desert and we have long
and thick eyelashes to protect our eyes. Then, what are we doing in a zoo?” The
mom hugged his son with tears in his eyes.
What do we learn from the story?
The skills and the abilities of a person are
useful only when they are in right place and at the right time. Otherwise, they
are just useless. Whatever you have got, it is gifted by God for a purpose. It
is not just like you have it without any purpose. There is always a reason and
you have to deliver it at right place and at the right time.
