A Stone of Rewards a Motivational Story

Here is another motivational blog from our series of motivation. The collection of stories is taken from the list of a motivational speaker in Lucknow. He is an inspiring Leadership consultant and CEO Coach. He has motivated people and provided a reason to fight against the hardships.
The motivation is the requirement of every individual to maintain the balance of life. We all have faced problems in life and they keep on coming in our life. You need proper motivation to fight them and defeat them.

I am trying to bring such motivation to all my readers out there to maintain the same spirit in life without any fail. There is nothing like living, so live it as if it is your last day in this beautiful world.

Once there was a king who was generous and caring. He always wanted his people of the kingdom to remain happy in their life. One day, he was on the hunt with his ministers. He came up with an idea of testing his people and their efforts. He ordered his guards to put a stone to block the entrance of the city. He said to his guards to note down the reaction of the people passing through the entrance.

Many people went through the passage and gave different reactions. Some blamed the king for not caring the people anymore. Some registered the complaints to the guards noting the reactions. Some changed their way and decided to move from the other passages in the city. A vegetable seller who used to sell veggies inside and outside the city came to the stone and tried to move it away. He tried hard but could not manage to do it. He put the bundle of vegetables aside and tried again. This time, he was able to move it to the other side of road clearing the entrance to pass through. He took his bundle of vegetables and moved ahead to the way outside the city. The guards standing outside to note down the reactions of people arrested the man and presented him before the king. The king asked the vegetable seller, “Why did you remove the stone?” “It was blocking the way of mine as well as many passing by”, said the vegetable seller. “I’ve seen many people passing by but no one took the initiative to remove it, so I did it for me as well as for them”, he added. The king was very happy to see the kindness of vegetable sellers and his helping nature. He ordered his ministers to weight him in gold and gave that gold to the vegetable seller. He accepted the gift and walk away.

What do we learn?
Every obstacle in life is an opportunity to learn something. You don’t have to complain or run away from the problem but you need to fight and work hard to overcome. Once you manage to defeat the rewards are waiting for you with open arms.
